Don't worry, I'm not getting all apocalyptic on you, I'm literally talking about the last few days for me. It has been an experience in different church.
First of all we had saturday, meeting as a family, with some friends and my Dad and Daphne coming to visit as well, all at the church building, using the facilities, eating together, socialising, playing some football in the sports hall and getting beaten at table tennis by my Dad, it was church and it was good, even with the odd hiccup, of me losing my temper with one of the kids, very quickly, I am still too quick to anger.
On Sunday as a family went to the other congregation of the church we attend in a neighbouring town, they do things very differently to how we usually have Sunday, around tables, more intimacy, not a lot of structure, people with ideas, feeling free to try them out, it felt good.
On Sunday night Tanya went to the youth worship, which was based on gospel music, Morgan came home singing ' Oh happy day'
Last night I went to a prayer meeting, it is usually for the area, but last night was devoted to street pastoring and I was there with others, representing street pastors, the meeting reminded me of meetings I had been to in the eighties, very spirit and prayer driven, it was great, different yet again and I got a real spiritual boost from it, at the end of the day I was turning up for prayer and you can't get too much of it.
Difference is good.
